How to become a Donor Recipient
Donor Recipients are organizations within the School District, organizations affiliated with the schools/School District and organizations in support of the schools and school programs.
Organizations supporting the schools, which are outside of the school or School District, need to be registered as a 501C organization with the IRS. Examples include PTA, PTSA organization, PTO, support groups and other foundations who conduct fundraisers to support the programs run in schools.
To become a Donor Recipient and receive funds from the edPrint program, organizations must be approved and nominated by the School District. To be nominated, the organization is required to:
- Have written approval from the School District Superintendent.
- Provide information regarding the type of organization it is (e.g. support group, non-profit, foundation
- Address and date of establishment
- Description of organization mission or charter
- Provide the contact within the organization to receive funds from edPal.
The information should include
- Name/Title of contact person
- Two phone numbers and an email address
- Mailing address of organization
Note: Organizations have to be recognized by the IRS as 501 C organization. |
